Electronics technician for industrial engineering

What we expect from you

First of all, you should be interested in technology and electronics. Craftsmanship, diligence and patience are also required. Teamwork is also a top priority. School leaving exams with good knowledge of mathematics and physics will help you to start your training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering without any problems. This lasts for three and a half years, but can be shortened if performance is good. It is therefore worthwhile to push ahead from the very beginning. Good grades in mathematics, physics and German are desirable as a prerequisite.

What exactly will you do all day?

You are responsible for all electronic work at your location. This means that you install electrical components and you have to maintain, extend, modernize and of course repair them regularly in case something should be broken. Every day you ensure that the systems run perfectly and that no one has to do without their electricity. At first, this sounds very simple, but it's not. After all, there are a lot of cables in the machines and systems that transmit information and power. That's why you learn how to read circuit diagrams and how the electrical system is installed correctly.
