Combination bearing – Reliable transmission of axial and radial loads

Combination bearings incorporate both balls and rollers as rolling elements, consisting of a raceway with balls and another raceway with rollers. The combination of the two rolling elements allows the rollers to handle axial loads while the balls manage radial loads, offering a distinct advantage in load distribution.

Rothe Erde offers the combination bearing (series 12) with and without gearing (internal gearing and / or external gearing). When designing, we consider various influencing factors to ensure a long service life for the bearing.

Our combination bearings are ideal for applications where high tilting moments are not required. In these cases, these combined bearings provide more economical solution compared to three-row roller bearings. Rothe Erde's combined bearings deliver exceptional rigidity and precision.
