Crushing plants are used in the production of broken minerals. When crushing the lumpy feed material, high demands are placed upon the machines. For this reason, heavy load bearings are used for crushing plants.

Vertical mills are mainly used for grinding brittle materials. They are suitable for the crushing of various construction materials and also of coal as part of coal treatment. The crushing of mineral materials is very energy intensive and is influenced by the size and dynamics of the acting load.

Our roller bearings are manufactured in such a way so as to absorb this dynamic load. For this reason, they have already been successfully used in vertical mills around the world for many years.

If the ratio between length and diameter is greater than five in mills, these are considered to be tube mills. They are mainly used in the cement, smelting and mining industries, where different materials have to be ground.

rothe erde® slewing bearings are an important part in tube mills. They are developed to be able withstand the high fluctuations in temperatures. Thanks to their extreme reliability, our slewing bearings guarantee continuous operation when grinding and drying the most varied of materials.

Rotary kilns are used to sinter, calcine, pyrolyse and burn granules and powders. In doing so, the round kilns rotate continuously around their own axis. They are often over 150 metres long and can reach temperatures of over 1,500° Celsius. To minimise the risk of production being interrupted, special emphasis is placed on the reliability of the kilns in the manufacturing process.

Rotary kilns are supported on rollers for which our spherical roller bearings are used. They are constructed to lastingly withstand high temperatures and shock loads. Not even the high levels of exposure to dust pollution can impact the reliability of our bearings. This is how they ensure that a long service life for the machine is obtained.

Machinery and equipment in the oil and gas industry are exposed to the harshest environmental conditions. For the harsh conditions to be withstood, particularly robust bearings are needed here.
