At the turn of the year, Armin Necker took up the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the globally active Rothe Erde Group. The 47-year-old succeeds Dr. Wilfried Spintig, who is leaving the company at his own request. As CTO, Armin Necker is responsible for research, application technology consulting as well as the development and production of rolling bearings and seamless rolled rings at the Group's 14 locations.
In addition to his role as CTO, Armin Necker is also a member of the management board of thyssenkrupp rothe erde Germany GmbH. Armin Necker comes from the Schaeffler Group and, after holding several management positions, was most recently Managing Director of Schaeffler Aerospace Germany GmbH. "We are delighted to have gained Armin Necker, an absolute expert from the rolling bearing industry," says Winfried Schulte, CEO at Rothe Erde. "Armin Necker brings with him over 20 years of wide-ranging industry experience, including in product development, process optimization, sales and corporate development."
Dr. Wilfried Spintig has held various management positions at Rothe Erde since 1995 and has been a member of the Management Board as Chief Operation Officer (COO) since 2018. "Under Wilfried Spintig's leadership, numerous successful product developments and the expansion and multiple efficiency improvements of our global production network took place," explains Winfried Schulte. "We would like to expressly thank Dr. Spintig for over 28 years of commitment to our company."
