My background / my job

I am a dedicated and result oriented graduate in Mechanical Engineering. I have over 16 years of significant and progressive experience in high-tech manufacturing. I exhibit significant problem solving skills in manufacturing and production engineering. I also offer process planning expertise and have proven my ability to implement innovative solutions and optimize resources to achieve cost effective results.

I have chosen the career path in engineering as most of the things in this world have evolved out of engineering solutions. This enables me to serve the society as well as fulfill my career ambitions.

Our challenges

The two major challenges I am facing are:

1. Achieving a collaborative approach within different departments to get to the goal alignment. In order to achieve this, I plan cross functional team activities and conduct regular interdepartmental meetings.

2. Achieving customer satisfaction but being cost effective at the same time. Therefore, I have to closely monitor relevant KPI’s to provide sustainable solutions.

Our typical working day

As a General Production Manager, I have the following tasks for a particular day:

1. Planning the production process

2. Analysing processes, identifying problems and eliminating them

3. Integrating systematic approaches

4. Providing help in production, working on solutions

5. Participating in developing new products

6. Participating in developing new production lines

7. Providing innovative & cost effective sustainable solutions

8. Collaborating and working together with people to achieve all the above organizational goals

9. Mentoring and moderating my team towards better competencies, skills & managerial acumen so that they are able to achieve the organizational goals with their own development.

It is said that “coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success”.  For me, our slogan „engineering. tomorrow. together” means less boundaries in the work collaboration across all functions and all operating units inspite of the gender, cultural and other diversities. Together we work towards a common goal of customer satisfaction through cost effective and efficient engineering solutions.
