My background / my job
After the completion of my education, I choose the field of logistics because I have been interested in import and export related activities since I was in college. Working for Rothe Erde India has given me the opportunity to gain more knowledge in various fields.
While working in the logistics department, I also enhanced my knowledge in the field of taxation (GST, Excise & customs, DGFT). Having knowledge of taxation is very important when handling import and export activities. Thanks to the work in customs clearance and dealing with government authorities has greatly improved my communication skills.
Our challenges
Due to the current changing customs and taxation process in India, many new challenges have occurred.
Customs clearance related activities are becoming trickier day by day. This changing process encourages me to setup new systems with internal & external customers.
Our typical working day
During a typical working day, I arrange the distribution of vehicles. Besides, I edit the monthly dispatch plan in order to organize the export dispatches. To be able to organize fast deliveries to our plant, I coordinate the communication with customs agents and local transporters.

Without working together, set targets cannot be achieved. So good teamwork is the highest priority for us.
An excellent example of good teamwork:
with the help of the planning department, we developed an innovative packing system for approximately 2500 bearings which saved our logistics costs for export consignments.

I am really happy with my job. I am always encouraged by my management to work on innovative ideas and to attend trainings. What I learned while working at Rothe Erde India will definitely be helpful for me towards achieving personal as well as company goals.
